For the 2020 year, the Ford Escape got a full redesign, and it started at the engine. The 2020 Escape comes with four engine options. The standard engine is a 1.5L turbo engine with 180 hp, but they also offer a 2.5L Atkinson hybrid powertrain, a 2L high-output engine with 250 hp, and a fourth plug-in option that can drive for 30 miles on a single charge. For cargo space, the Escape offers a healthy 37.5 cu. ft. and 65.4 cu. ft. with the seats down. Ford cut more than 200 lbs. of weight from the previous Escape model, improving handling, maneuverability and aerodynamics.

The Nissan Rogue comes with two different engines: the 2.5L 4-cylinder continuously variable-speed automatic transmission (CVT) and the 2.5L 4-cylinder CVT with AWD. In terms of cargo space, the Rogue offers 39.3 cu. ft. or 70 cu. ft. with the seats folded down.
